Appier pioneers programmatic TV in Asia

Appier in Taiwan has unveiled the first programmatic TV solution in Asia, aiming to help advertisers reach the substantial but fragmented TV-watching populations by adding intelligence to traditional TV buying.

Dubbed Appier Programmatic TV, the new offering complements Appier’s cross-screen advertising portfolio that harnesses proprietary artificial intelligence (AI) technologies to enable all advertisers to identify the same users across all screens.

With the solution, advertisers would be able to plan TV campaigns based on targeted audience profiles by associating TV buying strategies with user behaviors on all other screens.

Appier’s channel recommendation system can also incorporate insights from advertisers’ existing analytics capabilities, enabling brands to leverage data-enabled technologies to identify the most relevant channels.

Appier has made the solution initially available in Singapore through a partnership with a Singapore-based telecom company, while the offering will be available in more markets soon.
