NEC and Indra launch cloud management service

The platform uses “desktop as a service” (DaaS) to create virtual offices and their associated services. The virtual workplace will be accessible from any device under a monthly payment plan.
NEC will provide the technological solution and infrastructure for both hardware and software for these services, while Indra will provide professional consultancy, operational services and the hosting of infrastructure.
UberGlobal deploys Parallels’ automation software
UberGlobal, Australia’s third largest web service provider, is deploying Parallels Automation software to rapidly deliver a wide variety of new cloud services, including Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Software as a Service (SaaS), targeted at small to medium businesses (SMBs), government organisations and enterprises in the Australian market. The expanded partnership is expected to help UberGlobal tap the country’s burgeoning SMB cloud services market, which reached A$480 million in 2011.
