Celestial Tiger Entertainment (CTE) plans to launch a new dedicated OTT linear feed for its action entertainment channel KIX.

Branded KIX 360, the new linear service, complements KIX's existing linear and on-demand channels.

The new high-definition (HD) OTT linear channel will make its debut in Singapore in the fourth quarter of 2015, and will be rolled out progressively across the region in first half of next year.

“Fans in Asia will be able to get into action on multiple platforms, at home and on the go, with KIX 360,” said Todd Miller, CEO of CTE. “In addition, we are curating the channel to ensure a great viewing experience on screens large and small.”

KIX said its dedicated OTT linear feed will offer the same mix of combat sports, action series and movies, but the programs will be “carefully curated for mobile-viewing”.

Programs will include both long-form and short-form programming. Some premium content that viewers can expect to see on the OTT channel include Bellator MMA, Glory World Series, and Top Gear with Top Gear Korea, Top Gear USA and Top Gear Australia.

The company said that in Malaysia, KIX HD is the top English general entertainment (GE) HD channel. In the Philippines, KIX is one of the top four regional English GE channels so far this year.
