Ericsson has unveiled its cloud-enabled media management services as part of its broadcast and media services portfolio.

The services are designed to manage secure contribution, archiving and media processing in the public and private cloud, the company said.

The company said the services will deliver new benefits to broadcasters by providing unparalleled security, choice, agility and efficiency while eliminating the substantial upfront costs often associated with hardware and infrastructure.

In a separate announcement, Ericsson has signed a partnership with security technology firm Guardtime to integrate keyless signature infrastructure (KSI) technology into Ericsson cloud portfolio.

Ericsson said third party customers of such infrastructure can trust their most precious asset, data, to the outsourced telecommunication and mobile carrier, with guarantees of ability to trust, verify, analyze and subsequently control previously diffuse outsourced enterprise operations.
