Hong Kong mobile operator CSL has signed an agreement with US-based SIMtone that will allow it to offer 3G-based cloud services to its subscribers.
 
Motorola has made an investment of an undisclosed sum in Sensitive Object, a company which develops acoustics-based touchscreen technology.
 
Philippine operator Smart has launched a flat rate data plan for BlackBerry smartphones, offering unlimited data access for an additional 300 pesos ($6.50) per month. 
 
India's Tata Teleservices has launched a mobile TV service, branded Photon TV, for existing subscribers to its EVDO network. 
 
Optus has launched the BlackBerry Bold 9700 on its Australia-wide mobile network.
 
Linus Cheung, the former Hongkong Telecom CEO brought in to save struggling ATV channel, is reported to have resigned as chairman.
