From 2012, LTE will get further development toward the commercial network. Estimated number of users will exceed 300 million in 2015, account for 9.5% of the total 3.16 billion mobile broadband users. Existing technologies such as TD-SCDMA, TD-HSPA, HSPA, EVDO and Wimax will gradually evolve to LTE.

With the advent of the LTE era, FiberHome was investing heavily in the LTE industry layout in advance that followed the telecommunications industry trends. Until now, FiberHome has completed two standards, multi-band, multi-form products development. To be specific, it contains D/E/F band single/dual-channel and eight channels of the TDD distributed macro station equipment. As well as 2.1G, 2.6G dual-channel of the FDD distributed macro station equipment. At the same time, the micro base stations have been in the works.

Since 2010, FiberHome LTE base station products have been actively involved, and FiberHome has achieved good results in laboratory testing and filed testing of the organizations of the Ministry of Industry and operators. FiberHome TD-LTE base station products had participated in and passed the indoor equipment test, 2×2 terminal IOT test, key technologies and network performance test organized by the MIIT, and the S1 interface test and Guangzhou field test organized by China Mobile. In the formal test of Guangzhou field test, the single-user uplink and downlink throughput of FiberHome TDD macro base station is to approximate the theoretical values. The FiberHome FDD macro base station products have been involved in and passed the basic functions and performance test of the R8 version and S1 interface IOT test of the Guangzhou Research Institute of China Telecom.

In 2012, FiberHome will continue to cooperate actively with each operator's network deployment and testing, increase R&D investment and participate in IOT test with chip manufacturers, terminal manufacturers, and the core network manufacturers. Thus the maturity and commercialization of the product could be further enhanced.

LTE base station
1. Network architecture
The TD-LTE distributed base station (DBS) of FiberHome has the advantages of low-cost, environmental adaptability and flexible engineering construction. The DBS consist of the baseband processing unit (BBU) and the RF processing unit (RRU). The BBU is placed in the equipment room and connected with RRU via optical fiber.

2. Baseband unit (BBU)
The Baseband Unit (BBU) is the baseband processing unit of TD-LTE base station. It has the advantages of modular design, small size, high integration, low power consumption and easy deployment. The BBU is responsible for providing the interfaces respectively as S1 physical interface which communicate with EPC for the information intercommunication between eNodeB and EPC, Ir interface which communicate with RRU, X2 interface which interlink between eNodeBs for information communication. Moreover, the BBU also provide the information maintenance exchange channel connecting with OMC.
The BBU is responsible for communication with EPC through S1 physical interface; realize communication with RRU via Ir interface; provide X2 interface for communication between eNodeB (Base Station); provide information exchange channel with OMC.

Multi-antenna technology-----DL 2*2 MIMO,UL Two-way receive diversity
Modulation mode-----BPSK,QPSK,16-QAM,64-QAM
Interface bandwidth-----2.4576Gbit/s(two-channel);4.9152Gbit/s(eight-channel)

Remote Radio Unit (RRU)
The Remote Radio Unit (RRU) is the radiofrequency unit of TD-LTE base station. The RRU is in charge of the radio coverage. It is responsible for communication with the UE via Uu interface and communication with BBU through the Ir interface.

Multiple access methods-----DL OFDM, UL OFDMA
RF modulation mode-----QPSK/16QAM/64QAM
Maximum transmit power-----43dBm per antenna
