HKBN has launched a new pre-paid data roaming service offering plug-and-play data access in 43 countries or territories worldwide.
The Roaming Data SIM Card service is an enhanced version of HKBN's Travel Data SIM Card.
Consumption will innovatively be measured on a rolling 24-hour basis, starting from when a user first logs online that day. Days can be used non-consecutively, and the same 24-hour pack can be used in multiple countries.
To take advantage of the plan, customers will need to order the SIM online and have it shipped to a registered address. HKBN is offering a six-day, 900MB pass for a promotional price of HK$248 ($32).
Subsequent top-ups will be purchasable based on days of service. Up to 30 days can be stored on each SIM. Tethering to Wi-Fi equipped devices will be supported.
HKBN's Roaming Data SIM Card service initially supports access to nations including mainland China, Macau, Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, Philippines, Indonesia, Australia, New Zealand, India and Sri Lanka.
Outside of Asia, the service supports roaming in the US, Canada, the UK and 23 continental European countries, as well as South Africa and Ghana.
