Mobile application downloads from iOS and Android are expected to account for 78% of total in 2010, according to ABI Research.

iOS, the iPhone’s operating system, is seen to take the lion’s share of 52% of all downloads.

The mobile app market is expected to peak in 2011 with full-year sales just under $8 billion.
