Japan's telecommunications services market is expected to grow at a CAGR of 3.5%, reaching $171.9 billion by 2014, according to Pyramid Research.

Analyst Tae-Hyung Kim said driving such growth will be the migration to higher speed broadband connections over fiber, and increased adoption of sophisticated mobile data services enabled by 4G networks.

Kim said that over the next three years, Japan will see significant CAPEX, mostly coming from mobile operators.
