Malaysian mobile carrier Maxis Communication has introduced three new postpaid plans targeting average and high voice and text users.

The plans come with bundled minutes and SMS, and an auto bill trigger capability that Maxis says can reduce call rates by 50%.

Jeff Chong, Maxis' head of mobility products and international services said the new plans give customers the option to choose a plan that suits their usage patterns.

“The bundling of minutes and SMS provides customers with value and simple choices while the auto bill trigger capability enables them to have a worry-free experience in their mobile usage,” Chong said.

The TalkMore 28 plan, which is priced at 28 Malaysian ringgit ($9) per month, comes with 200 voice minutes and 100 SMS messages. Once excess usage reaches 75 ringgit, on-net call and SMS rates will be reduced from 0.12 ringgit to 0.06 ringgit.

The TextMore 28 plan comes with 100 minutes and 200 SMS messages for 28 Malaysian ringgit per month. For this plan on-net voice and SMS rates will be lowered to 0.06 ringgit, once usage hits 75 ringgit.

The TalkMore 48 plan, priced at 48 ringgit/month, includes 400 minutes and 200 SMS messages. Once excess usage hits 110 ringgit, on-net call and text rates will lower to 0.05 ringgit.

Additionally, customers who sign up for Maxis' new TalkMore plans can get smartphone deals on selected models of top device brands, Maxis said.
