SK Telecom signed collaboration agreements with Taiwan Mobile, Mongolia's Skytel and Nokia Networks at this year's Mobile World Congress.

The operator has signed an MOU with Taiwan Mobile agreeing to share its knowledge on LTE performance and customer experience management.

The two companies will also work to develop next-generation mobile network technologies and mobile services.

A separate agreement with Skytel will see SK Telecom provide consulting services for LTE network technologies and services. Mongolia's LTE spectrum allocations are expected to take place this year, and Skytel aims to become an LTE market leader.

SK Telecom and Nokia networks have meanwhile signed an agreement to expand their collaboration on exporting network operational products and services to overseas markets.

Under the deal, SK Telecom will provide network operational expertise to Nokia's 600 operator customers in 150 nations.

“Since launching Korea’s first LTE service in 2011, SK Telecom has led the industry by introducing advanced mobile network technologies including Multi-Carrier, LTE-Advanced and tri-band LTE-Advanced Carrier Aggregation,” said Lee Jong-bong, Executive Vice President and Head of Network Division at SK Telecom.

“We will make ceaseless efforts to keep enhancing the quality and stability of our mobile networks to provide the highest level of customer experience, and share it with mobile operators around the world.”
