Japan's NTT Communications has launched an enterprise-focused mobile data MVNO in Thailand through its local subsidiary.

NTT Com Thailand has secured an MVNO license in the market, and now plans to provide mobile data services to corporate customers.

Customers will be able to use devices from Thai operators to connect to the MVNO service, which is linked to NTT Com Thailand's data centers and cloud environment.

With the new license NTT Com will be providing both fixed and mobile corporate data communications services - including solutions that link mobile devices to private enterprise networks - as well as data center, cloud and other services.

The company will also be providing an enterprise mobility management service for enterprise customers.

Announcing the launch, NTT Com said that “foreign companies operating in Thailand have shown strong demand for one-stop communications services that meet their needs for high-quality fixed and mobile communications.”

Thailand's belated 3G rollouts and upcoming 4G auctions have also helped stimulate demand for high-speed mobile data traffic.
