Optus chief executive Paul O'Sullivan has taken on an additional role as part of a restructure of parent company SingTel.

SingTel announced early March that the group would be split into three business units, with O'Sullivan to head the Group Consumer division and be responsible for 400 million mobile customers across Australia, Singapore and elsewhere. He remains as head of Optus as part of the change.

Allen Lew will head the Digital Life unit that focus on developing innovative and cutting-edge digital services, which would be bundled SingTel's mobile offerings.
