Ruckus Wireless has launched CloudManager for Xclaim, a subscription-free cloud service to manage its Xclaim family of cloud-ready indoor and outdoor WiFi access points (APs).
The Xclaim product line is a new line of entry-level enterprise WiFi products from Ruckus Wireless aimed at SMBs.
CloudManager for Xclaim utilizes the Amazon cloud to provide a global management service for Xclaim access points.
It includes functionality including remote management, support for multi-site deployment, analytics and reporting and backwards compatibility with existing Xclaim APs.
Other than the cost of Xclaim APs, there are no other upfront costs, nor monthly, quarterly or annual recurring subscription fees. CloudManager is included in existing support forums and software upgrades for the Xclaim product line, both of which are also free-of-charge for customers to access and utilize.
CloudManager for Xclaim is scheduled to be available by the end of June 2015. New or existing customers can request to join an open-beta program now.
