Peter A. Leav takes helm at Polycom
Peter A. Leav has joined Polycom as president and chief executive officer. He also will serve as a director on Polycom’s board of directors.
Leav succeeds interim CEO Kevin Parker, who will continue serving as chairman of the board of Polycom, and will work closely with Leav on a transition plan.
Leav assumed the role on December 2 and is based out of the company’s global headquarters in Silicon Valley.
Prior to joining Polycom, Leav was executive vice president and president of industry and field operations at NCR. During his tenure at the company, revenues grew from $4.6 billion in 2009 to $5.7 billion in 2012. He also led NCR’s Interactive Printer Solutions division and was a member of NCR’s executive committee.
Bullitt Group appoints Scott Cheng VP of sales for Asia
Bullitt Group, a UK-based international mobile phone and consumer electronics company, has hired Scott Cheng as vice president of sales for Asia.
Before joining Bullitt, Cheng was president of Commtiva Technology in Taiwan, responsible for winning the Sharp smartphone distribution rights and launching Sharp smartphones in South East Asia and CIS regions.
Prior to that Cheng spent four years with HTC as sales manager of emerging markets and latterly regional director for the CIS region, based in Russia.
