The international arm of Australia’s incumbent, Telstra Global, is expanding its US presence with the help of CenturyLink.

The two companies have established a network-to-network interface that will give Telstra Global access to some 73 IP VPN PoPs across the country and provide CenturyLink with better connectivity down under.

NNIs of all sorts have been proliferating this year with unprecedented speed, whether they be at the Ethernet or IP VPN level.

And APAC has been a particular hotbed for them lately. PCCW announced NNIs with both the US regional operator Lightower and the Philippines’ PLDT in just the last week.
