Software and professional services firm TMNG Global is launching what it claims is the only true measure of the value of adopting cloud computing.

The firm is offering financial modeling for cloud services covering a five year period, claiming the approach offers greater insight than current cloud calculation tools and will help to overcome companies’ concerns over the cost of switching to the cloud.

TMNG’s tool offers a full cost/benefit analysis, along with a detailed comparison of a firm’s current IT costs with cloud-based alternatives.

“For many companies, the inability to accurately determine costs is a significant barrier to Cloud adoption,” TMNG chief Rich Nespola notes, adding. “This is particularly true as it pertains to the comparison of legacy IT costs to the costs of new Cloud services.”
