Global TV network TV5Monde has partnered Movideo to deliver video services across the Asia-Pacific region.

The company will replace its current player TV5Monde Player and adopt the Movideo Managed Video Platform to manage its OTT (over-the-top) services such as TV5Monde+ Asie and TV5Monde+ Pacifique. Subscribers can expect a simpler, more efficient experience with more live content.

“Thanks to Movideo, TV5Monde will be able to launch a truly exceptional service to its subscribers all over Asia Pacific, with up to four live channels, VoD and Catch up TV,” said Alexandre Muller, Asia-Pacific managing director at TV5 Monde.

“This new partnership will also allow us to progressively deploy our full TVE (TV Everywhere) service in the region with smartphone and tablet apps as well as connected TV services available to our online subscribers,” he added.

The partnership adds another major customer to Movideo’s growing base of content owners and media businesses including Turner, Nextmedia, Disney, Astro, Singapore Press Holdings and SingTel.

“We have been working with…TV5Monde for well over 12 months to ready them for this step change in their OTT strategy and service,” said Movideo CEO Tony McGinn.
