Webwire: HTC Q4 outlook disappoints; Yahoo said to reject sale

HTC has provided a weaker than expected smartphone sales forecast for the crucial Q4 period, and analysts believe the vendor is in for tougher competition due to Apple's iPhone 4S.

 

Shares in Yahoo fell 5.6% yesterday on reports the company is likely to eschew a sale to a consortium of buyers in favor of selling its Asian assets and distributing the proceeds to shareholders.
