Australian direct retailer Kogan is taking pre-orders for the world's second Google Android mobile phone, with a delivery date of January 29.

The unlocked Kogan Agora handsets come in two models - standard and pro. The standard handset costs A$299 ($192), features a full QWERTY keyboard, 3G connectivity , 2.5" touchscreen and central navigation key, microSD support.

For an extra A$100, the pro version adds GPS and WiFi functionality and a 2MP camera.

The handset ships with the standard Android features, such as gmail and Google search, calendar, maps and talk. Both handsets also feature a music player and a MicroSD slot.

Kogan had announced in November that the handset would retail at A$199, but according to company founder Ruslan Kogan, "the impact of the global financial crisis on currencies means that $199 is simply impossible."
