Chelsea has made a shocking inquiry about a potential transfer deal to sign Alejandro Garnacho from United, according to reports, with the forward's future at Old Trafford increasingly uncertain.

United are not actively looking to sell Garnacho, but the Premier League’s profit and sustainability rules could force the club to listen to offers for some of their academy talents.
Now, according to The Athletic, the Blues have now held early discussions over the potential move of the 20-year-old forward to Stamford Bridge this month. However, landing Garnacho could be difficult, as Napoli have also shown interest in him as Khvicha Kvaratskhelia's replacement. United are holding out for a £70m fee for Garnacho and have already rejected a bid from Napoli of £40m.

Chelsea and Manchester United have already done business this season, with Jadon Sancho making the switch from Old Trafford to Stamford Bridge on an initial summer loan with an obligation to buy permanently next summer.
United head coach Ruben Amorim has expressed a desire to keep Garnacho at the club and recently praised him for adapting to his system despite the recent fallout from the club starting lineup in the derby match in December. Since then, the Argentine forward has broken back into the starting lineups in United's victories over Arsenal and Southampton in the past week.
Garnacho graduated from United's youth academy and has, since making his debut in 2022, made 117 appearances for the club, scoring 23 goals. The young, talented forward recently won the FIFA Puskas Award for his incredible overhead kick against Everton last season.
