The Norwegian forward who joined City from Dortmund in 2022, whose previous contract was due to expire in the summer of 2027, has now put pen to paper on a deal that will see him turn 34 years old by the time it ends.

The 24-year-old had previously been linked with a move to Real Madrid, demonstrating his dominance since arriving at the Etihad by winning consecutive Golden Boots and setting new Premier League records.

Haaland expressed his commitment to the new deal, stating that he is happy to sign the contract and looks forward to spending more time at the great club.

Haaland Said
"I am really happy to have signed my new contract and to be able to look forward to spending even more time at this great club. "Manchester City is a special club, full of fantastic people with amazing supporters and it's the type of environment that helps bring the best out of everybody. "I also want to thank [manager] Pep [Guardiola], his coaching staff, my team-mates and everyone at the club as they have all helped me so much in the past couple of years."

Since joining Manchester City in June 2022 from Borussia Dortmund, Erling Haaland has scored 111 goals in 126 games. In his first two and a half seasons with City, Haaland has lifted two Premier League titles, the FA Cup, the Champions League, and the Super Cup.

The nine-and-a-half-year deal that will expire in 2034 is the longest contract out of all current Premier League players. Cole Palmer and Nicolas Jackson's seven-year and eight-year deals for Chelsea will end in 2033.

Manchester City are currently experiencing a deep in form across all competitions under Pep Guardiola this season, with the Citizens now 12 points behind leaders Liverpool in defending their Premier League title crown.
