The summer of 2025 promises to be rich in football events, despite no major national team tournaments being scheduled. The main reason for this is the inaugural edition of the FIFA Club World Cup in its new format.
The premier football tournament of the summer kicks off in the United States on June 14 and will run until July 13. Telecom Asia Sport presents a look at the Club World Cup trophy, the official match ball, and the tournament anthem.

FIFA Club World Cup Trophy
FIFA released the image of the official FIFA Club World Cup 2025 trophy in mid-November 2024. The trophy was seen live for the first time on December 5, 2024, during the tournament draw held in Miami.
The design of the trophy was created in collaboration with the renowned jeweler Tiffany & Co. The trophy is coated in 24-karat gold and shaped like a multi-disc shield that transforms into an orbital structure. All past winners of the Club World Cup will receive commemorative replicas of this trophy with personalized engravings.

The trophy features a map of the world, the names of all 211 national football associations, and the six FIFA confederations. The central disc is adorned with symbols tied to football culture. In addition, inscriptions are engraved in 13 languages, including Braille.
To those who hold this trophy: history belongs to you! You are witnesses to a moment in time that represents the pinnacle of club football, granted to the few, celebrated by the many.
The trophy was inspired by the golden records aboard the Voyager spacecrafts, the periodic table of elements, maps of great geographical discoveries, and astronomical data. It even depicts the positions of the planets on the day FIFA was founded (May 21, 1904) and on the day of the tournament’s first match (June 15, 2025).
Official Match Ball of the FIFA Club World Cup 2025
The matches of the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 will be played using the Adidas Conext 24 ball, unveiled in January 2025 by FIFA and Adidas.
The ball features an embedded sensor with Connected Ball technology, which transmits data from its inertial measurement unit to assist the video assistant referee (VAR) system. Despite the added technology, the ball’s flight and striking characteristics remain unchanged. This same technology was already tested at Euro 2025.

The design of the ball pays homage to the culture and symbolism of the United States — the host country. On a pearlescent background are vibrant patterns with jagged edges, along with stylized elements of the national flag: stars and stripes in red, white, and blue.
The ball is made up of 20 panels and uses PRECISIONSHELL technology to enhance the accuracy of passes and strikes. It also incorporates CTR-CORE technology, which helps the ball retain its shape, stabilize its flight, and maintain air pressure.

The official anthem of the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 will be the song “Freed from Desire” by Italian singer Gala (real name Milana Gala Rizzatto).
Released in 1996, the eurodance track quickly rose to popularity thanks to its catchy “na-na-na-na...” chorus.
In the football world, the song gained a second life when Northern Ireland fans turned it into one of the most recognizable fan chants during Euro 2016.
