3M rolls out palm-sized projector

3M has introduced the Micro Projector Mpro110, which allows users to share of photos, videos, business presentations and other visual media with friends, family or colleagues. The 3M Mpro110, one of the world's first micro projectors, has just won the Grand Award from Popular Science magazine for the Best New Gadgets in 2008.

The palm-sized MPro110 measures 115L x 50W x 22H mm and weighs only an incredible 152g. The battery-operated handheld projector use energy-efficient LED technology for up to 60 minutes running time, offering greater mobility to users.

Using liquid crystal on silicon technology, the projector has an aspect ratio of 4:3 and a native resolution of 640 x 480 VGA. Its ability to project from 5 inches up to 50 inches diagonal presents an alternative to use smaller displays on portable digital equipment to share content on the spot.

Designed for the use with laptop PCs, this product is can also be used with mobiles, PDAs, video MP3 players, iPods, digital cameras and other devices.
