Motorola's new wireless adaptive AP solution offers enhanced stability over a WAN connection.

Branch offices can use the solution to provide a centralized point for managing access points at any location over a WAN connection.

In the event that connection to the wireless switch is lost, it can restore the connection seamlessly without rebooting or disassociating any client devices.

This new WLAN architecture deploys like a thin AP, but offers advanced capabilities usually found in smart APs"”such as local termination of 802.11 traffic, encryption/decryption coding on the AP and the ability to bridge traffic locally.

Switching to an adaptive AP architecture reduces the need for additional networking resources, according to Motorola.
