UK's Aircom will provide Wimax networking planning solutions to broadband service providers in Singapore and Malaysia.

Singapore's Singtel and Malaysia's Packet One International will use the company's ASSET network planning and optimization tool for their respective Wimax rollouts.

Aircom said its solution enables planning and management of both fixed and mobile networks compliant with the 802.16e standard.

Singtel has used Aircom's planning tools for its existing GSM and WCDMA cellular networks. Aircom said it will provide on-the-job training to SingTel engineers for this latest deployment.

Malaysia's Packet One, meanwhile, is deploying Wimax on the 2.3 GHz spectrum.

Packet One is one of four Wimax license holders in Malaysia and is targeting to provide coverage to at least 40 percent of the country's population by 2010.
