Alcatel-Lucent wins China Telecom, Chunghwa contracts

Alcatel-Lucent has announced a number of contracts wins in Asia. The Paris-based vendor will provide its IP solution to China Telecom to expand their IP metro area networks in Jiangsu and Hubei.

It has also won a $34 million deal from Australian data services firm Nextgen Networks to supply WDM, SDH and Ethernet/MPLS equipment. Taiwan incumbent Chunghwa Telecom will see Alcatel-Lucent provide Ethernet/MPLS solutions for the Taiwanese incumbent.
