Alibaba Cloud and Hewlett Packard Enterprise have teamed up to provide next-generation hybrid cloud solutions in the APAC region.

Under the collaboration, HPE has become the first technology vendor in APAC excluding China to deliver next-generation on-premise hybrid cloud solutions with Alibaba Cloud’s Apsara Stack.

The companies are working with Intel to optimize and certify Apsara Stack cloud services on HPE platforms, including HPE's newest servers and switches.

Alibaba Cloud's Apsara Stack provides a hyper-scale and built-in hybrid cloud services platform that is designed to help enterprises improve utilization of existing on premise data centers while meeting requirements for data sovereignty and compliance.

The platform allows customers access to more than 60 Alibaba Cloud services, including AI, elastic GPU computing and business intelligence solutions.

The new HPE-based offerings will use Intel's Xeon scalable processor based platform, and are expected to launch by the end of the year.

“Our collaboration with HPE demonstrates how Alibaba Cloud’s partner network continues to be an important strategic asset to driving digital transformation for customers,” Alibaba Cloud general manager of dedicated cloud and enterprise applications Jin Ma said.

“We aim to empower enterprises to build a powerful shared service platform in their on-premise data center that complies with security, regulation and data sovereignty requirements.”
