OSS vendor Amdocs has acquired mobile payments and messaging aggregator MX Telecom for $104 million.

The all-cash deal will see MX Telecom become part of Amdocs' OpenMarket mobile transaction hub. OpenMarket provides a hosted platform to extend operators' mobile payment and messaging capabilities through an integrated network and product portfolio.

Amdocs said it expected the deal to be earnings per share accretive in FY10, but has warned it may incur a one-time acquisition-related expense for the March quarter.

MX Telecom currently operates in Australia, Europe and the US.

The purchase price is net of debt and cash.
