France Telecom has signed an agreement with private equity investment group Apax Partners to sell 100% of France Telecom Mobile Satellite Communications (FTMSC).
The completion of the transaction is expected in "the near future", FTMSC said in a statement.
FTMSC offered no further details on the deal, but said it would enable the company to "consolidate its leading position on the international mobile satellite communications market".
FTMSC offers satellite comms services, including in-house developed applications and customized solutions, via partners such as Inmarsat, Thuraya and Iridium.
