Axiata boosts profit 27%

Axiata's total regional mobile subscribers grew 38% year-on-year to 149 million.
 
To Axiata's overall Q3 revenue of 11.6 billion ringgit, Celcom contributed 5 billion, while XL kicked in 4.5 billion. Dialog and Robi were responsible for nearly 900,000 ringgit each.
 
Axiata CEO Dato' Sri Jamaludin Ibrahim gave an upbeat outlook for the remainder of the year. “Despite the competitive environment, we are confident about our prospects... building on the three quarters of growth we have achieved,” he said.
 
The company is forecasting 12.1% revenue growth and 14.1% ebitda growth for the full year.
