Backhaul spending grew 10% to $6.8b in 2010

The mobile backhaul equipment market grew 10.3% in 2010 over the previous year to $6.84 billion worldwide, according to Infonetics Research.

 

Principal analyst Michael Howard said 89% of the money spent on mobile backhaul equipment last year was for IP/Ethernet gear.

 

The fastest growth was observed in Ethernet cell site routers and gateways and Ethernet packet microwave equipment.
