Sybase 365 launches IPX-based roaming hub

Sybase 365 today launched a Diameter Routing Hub that will allow operators to offer roaming to their LTE subscribers.

The roaming hub uses Sybase 365's IP Exchange (IPX) backbone and Mavenir Systems’ Diameter routing technology. The companies claim the routing hub is the world’s first commercial service enabling comprehensive LTE network roaming.

Sybase 365 said its hub enables seamless authentication between the visited network and the subscriber’s home network, allowing the subscriber to roam onto a new network without restriction.

Mesaplexx claims LTE capacity boost

Mesaplexx has launched xCube, a new radio filter technology that it claims can improve the performance of active antenna systems (AASs).

The vendor is promising increases in LTE network capacity of up to 65% as a result of improvements in base station site efficiency and performance.

The new approach is also expected to enable AAS vendors to deliver 50% more power output for the same input, delivering significant increases in range and capacity.

FTS to demo billing and policy control solutions

FTS is conducting a live demonstration of its Leap Billing and Leap Policy Control solutions at Mobile World Congress.

The company, which provides billing, customer care and policy control solutions, will also be showing a joint demo with its partner Vedicis. The demo will demonstrate how the Vedicis policy enforcement solution works with FTS’s online/offline charging and PCRF solution to create an integrated end-to-end policy control and charging offering for mobile and fixed line operators.

FTS said the joint solution will be able to help operators resolve a number of issues that are currently affecting the sector, including enabling cross-selling plans; controlling traffic management through dynamic policy rules for bandwidth fair usage; or providing tiered services such as packages based on a choice of access speed, download/upload quotas or QoS prioritization. application

ip.access, TE Connectivity introduce integrated small cell and DAS

TE Connectivity and ip.access have jointly created what they say is the industry’s first all-digital integrated distributed antenna system (DAS) and small cell base station for W-CDMA services.

The solution uses ip.access' E16 picocell access point integrated with TE’s InterReach Spectrum or InterReach Fusion DAS products.

TE Connectivity is exhibiting the solution Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
