BSNL's plan B for Wimax -- LTE

With this defection clause in mind, all eyes are on Infotel, the only company with a nationwide license which was quickly snapped up by Indian conglomerate Reliance Industries (RIL) following the auction.
 
Reliance talked about LTE when it first acquired Infotel but is now trialing Wimax and looks almost certain to use that standard at least for its first phase of deployment.
 
Undoubtedly, it's keeping its options open for LTE at a later stage, when TD-LTE sees some traction, and should it switch it could very well trigger BSNL's plan B.
