BT offers direct link to Office 365

BT is providing customers the ability to connect directly to Microsoft Office 365 via Microsoft's Azure ExpressRoute cloud service.

The offer builds on BT’s vision of the Cloud of Clouds by enabling its corporate customers to establish a privacy-enhanced, managed connection to the service

BT will offer Azure ExpressRoute for Office 365 at global locations in Asia, Europe and the USA, where the service is available.

Keith Langridge, vice president, BT Connect portfolio, said: “Our vision of Cloud of Clouds is all about giving customers more choice, more security and a better user experience as they orchestrate their increasingly diverse cloud environments.”

Lasr year BT became one of the first global providers to enable its customers to link directly to Azure through a managed connection. The service includes single billing facilities for the BT Compute and Azure services.

Houlder, a global marine and offshore design and engineering company, was one of BT’s first customers to use Azure ExpressRoute connectivity.

Azure ExpressRoute for Office 365 adds to the wide range of business solutions that BT already offers with Microsoft.
