BT has announced the establishment of a “Global Shared Services” facility in Malaysia which will be operational in 2013.

The firm has signed a partnership with Malaysia’s Multimedia Development Corporation (MDeC) for the facility.

BT said the new global shared service facility is aligned with its expansion program in the Asia Pacific region and its investments in high growth markets. It will consist of two centers where BT teams will be providing services supporting customers' business needs globally.

The first is the Global Development Centre (GDC) which will provide ICT solutions including development, upgrades, migration and architecting.

The second is the Contract Delivery Shared Service Centre (CDSS) which will provide commercial, contract management and project management advice as well as process outsourcing activities for BT’s largest multinational customers.
