IT management software company CA has arranged to acquire IT performance and monitoring solution provider Nimsoft for $350 million.

The all-cash deal will allow CA to market products to emerging enterprises, defined as organizations with annual revenues of $300 million to $2 billion, the company said. CA has historically only counted large enterprises as among its customers.

Nimsoft also develops a Unified Monitoring solution for MSPs, which has been designed to allow visibility into the performance and availability of their customers' business applications.

CA recently acquired Cassatt, NetQoS and Oblicore, and is also planning to buy 3Tera.
