CA Technologies has named Francis Sun vice president of China. Rick Chau will move from his role in Greater China to focus on the Hong Kong and Taiwan markets.

The appointments have been made as part of a plan to grow CA's business in the Greater China market (China, Hong Kong and Taiwan). The company is building two sales and operations hubs – one in Beijing, led by Sun, and the other in Hong Kong, covering Taiwan as well, led by Chau.

Both Sun and Chau will be tasked with driving sales, building partner ecosystems, developing business and managing operations in their respective markets.

Sun joins CA Technologies from Microsoft where he was the general manager for Greater China with the Microsoft Business Solution group. Prior to that, he was general manager of Greater China at Citrix System, IBM and Lotus.
