Camiant announced it now supports Long Term Evolution-based mobile networks through a new release of its multimedia policy engine (MPE) software.

Deployed by more than 20 mobile, fixed and cable operators worldwide, Camiant\'s policy platform is the first policy and charging rules function (PCRF) to support the new requirements defined in Release 8 of the 3GPP standards.

Camiant\'s MPE will also support lawful intercept control functions as required by several operators.

The new LTE capable PCRF will be used in commercial deployments in 2010.
