The service provider router and switch market--including IP edge routers, IP core routers, carrier Ethernet switches, and ATM switches--grew 5% to $3.3 billion in the third quarter compared to the previous quarter.
A new study by Infonetics Research also found that the overall carrier router and switch market is up 21% year-on-year.
The North American IP edge and core router market is up 41% in yearly terms.
