CDNetworks announced a strategic partnership with Hong Kong Broadband Network Limited (HKBN), the fastest growing broadband service provider in Hong Kong.

Under the terms of the agreement, HKBN will optimize its international transit links by leveraging CDNetworks’ expanded content delivery network to accelerate web content delivery and application performance.

The agreement also broadens the reach of businesses who seek to deliver Web content and applications in a high-performance and cost-efficient manner to Hong Kong’s expanding Internet user population.

With almost 60 million Internet users in Hong Kong alone, the Internet has not only become an important driver behind local trading companies, it has also strengthened the region’s position as a global trading hub.

Partnering with CDNetworks enables HKBN to deliver an optimal end-user experience through web performance by collocating content closer to its end users while simultaneously improving network efficiency due to the resultant savings in international bandwidth usage. CDNetworks utilizes best-in-class caching technology to reduce CDN traffic by over 95% for service providers.
