Cellphone-related crimes hound young owners

Mobile phone theft and other forms of cellphone-related crimes are becoming more prevalent, particularly among the youth. According to Juniper Research, 70% of the 5- to 20-year-old respondents to its recent survey have admitted to having been a victim of mobile phone crime, or is associated to someone who has experienced mobile theft. More than half of responding parents and 83% of responding teachers are backing these figures up. Also, 27% of the youth respondents have been victims of mobile mugging or are associated with someone who has been a victim, and 22% have admitted to having experienced bullying via mobile phone or are associated with someone who has.
