China operators plan all-out 3G effort

Both China Mobile and China Unicom have unveiled their 3G plans after the recent approval of 3G license issuance by the country's State Council.

China Mobile announced Saturday that it will invest RMB 58.8 billion (US$8.6 billion) to build 60,000 3G base stations within this year.
