Chinese gas service provider ENN Group is deploying monitoring systems equipped with wireless sensors.
The company is using LPG/refined fuel "tank farm" monitoring systems built by SARS Corp. and Nebula Networks, both based in the US.
The system helps customers monitor fuel inventory and integrates real-time fuel inventory data into the site's ERP system, developed by local firm DFSoft, which caters to public utility companies.
The said system, developed over the past six months, deploys low-power wireless mesh networking technologies, according to SARS Corp.
The company is eyeing a lucrative market in China estimating no less than $500 million in total market value.
