Taiwan's Chunghwa Telecom last month introduced its new Channel Me service, powered by Adobe Flash Cast, that enables subscribers to personalize delivery of information from five standard channels, covering news, weather and horoscopes, entertainment and sports, dinning, and lifestyles.

The operator is planning a number of premium channels, including movie ticketing and music, by the end of the third quarter.

The Taiwan incumbent carrier joins operators such as Verizon Wireless and NTT DoCoMo, which license Adobe Flash Cast to differentiate their brands in the mobile marketplace. Adobe mobile solutions allow service providers, device OEMs and content providers to deliver more engaging mobile experiences across devices and operating systems by leveraging the Flash ecosystem.
The service supports 20 handsets running on Nokia S60 and Windows Mobile.

Chunghwa says the Flash technology gives the service an intuitive user interface, which is vital to a compelling user experience.
