The service provider core router market is expected to grow by almost 60% to over $4 billion in 2015, according to a recent report by Dell’Oro Group.
The growth is forecast as service providers around the world upgrade the capacity of their internet backbone networks with 100 Gigabit Ethernet technologies.
VP Shin Umeda said the 100GE interface is expected to become a mainstream technology by next year.
