The Cloud Security Alliance (CSA) has appointed Ken Low as the first chairman of the Asia Pacific executive council for CSA.

The appointment strengthens CSA’s presence in the region in the lead up to the establishment of its APAC headquarters in the second quarter of 2012, CSA said.

As part of his role as the regional ambassador for CSA, Low will help promote greater awareness of the alliance and its industry initiatives. He will also represent and safeguard the interests of corporate and individual members in Asia Pacific.

Low currently is a director of enterprise security for Asia Pacific at Trend Micro, a founding sponsor of CSA.
