Service providers in Southern Asia, Latin America and Eastern Europe unanimously expect to forge a larger role for themselves in the increasingly connected future.

According to a new surveyconducted by Frost & Sullivan for OSS provider Amdocs, two thirds of service providers in the regions said they would assume the expanded role of “service enabler” over the next five years as connectivity blooms.

The remaining third plan to take the role of “end-to-end experience provider,” expanding beyond basic connectivity to directly offer services such as healthcare, government support, education and mobile money.
