NTT DoCoMo and Microsoft have agreed to jointly develop and provide services and solutions for corporate users of Windows 8 tablets in Japan.
The partnership will combine Windows 8 tablets and DoCoMo’s “Xi” 4G mobile service to offer business-ecosystem tablets that meet the diverse needs of corporate users in the country, DoCoMo said in a statement.
Partner companies such as device manufacturers and system vendors will also assist in a broad collaborative effort to develop advanced mobile solutions that leverage DoCoMo’s LTE network and the abundant Windows resources available in the corporate world today.
Both companies will also collaborate on joint marketing and sales to corporations, DoCoMo said.
