South Korean mobile and broadband service firm Dreamline signed a deal with solutions provider ECI for the carrier's optical network expansion and upgrade.

Under the deal, ECI will provide solutions to support the nationwide rollout of Dreamline's next generation network via a 10,000-kilometer optical cable infrastructure.

ECIs optical platform carries voice and data services over Ethernet, SDH/SONET and CWDM. ECI said its platform 'is a highly reliable solution for the cost-sensitive metro access and cellular markets.'
